We're in the market for a camcorder. The last one I used was my parent's. You inserted the full size VHS tape into it. Oh, the joys of seeing me go through the awkward early teen years.
I'm thinking relatively easy to use is a necessity for this purchase.
Any one have any recommendations?

Go digital. I don't have any suggestions on brands or anything. To my surprise my little picture camera also does video. It doesn't hold much but it does the trick.
